Description

  • Become the product expert on Samsara’s IoT, AI, and computer vision solutions for physical operations.
  • Explain to prospects how businesses in their industry use Samsara to solve operational challenges.
  • Lead discoveries, demonstrations, value assessments, and proof-of-concept implementations to support deals.
  • Guide installers through product installation scenarios and help build deployment plans.
  • Write and document proof-of-concept scripts using Samsara’s open API to solve customer problems.
  • Advise customers on integrations, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities to expand account adoption.
  • Serve as a liaison between product and sales teams by translating technical feedback and enrolling customers in beta programs.
  • Champion Samsara’s cultural principles across teams and offices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science from a 4-year accredited university.
  • 5 years of experience working with customers in a pre-sales, customer success, or customer/product support role.
  • Ability and mindset for continuous growth and development.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders through technical sales acumen and understanding of business processes and change management.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience managing hardware and/or software product evaluations.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Experience with technical consulting, cloud software, cloud-connected hardware, computer networking, business systems integration, automation, and control systems.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferred: 8+ years of enterprise pre-sales experience working with customers.
  • Preferred: Understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems, including CAN bus and PTO applications.
  • Preferred: Experience with task automation scripting and data transfer using Bash, Python, JavaScript, or an equivalent language.
  • Preferred: Experience building solutions with open APIs.
  • Preferred: Physical location in Denver, San Francisco, Phoenix, or Seattle.
  • Remote position open to candidates residing in the US within the Pacific or Mountain time zones.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Proximity to an international airport is required.
