Description

  • Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks and record daily financial transactions.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and balance sheet accounts.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and supporting schedules.
  • Process accounts receivable tasks, including applying customer payments, reconciling customer accounts, and monitoring aging reports.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and assist with collections follow-up as needed.
  • Process weekly payroll accurately and on schedule using ADP payroll software.
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations, payroll reporting, and payroll-related record keeping.
  • Prepare general ledger maintenance tasks and assist with financial reporting requested by the CFO.
  • Document accounting procedures and identify workflow improvements to support scalable processes.
  • Help transition bookkeeping responsibilities from external providers to the internal finance team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks.
  • Experience with accounts receivable.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting fundamentals.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Experience processing payroll using ADP (preferred).
  • Experience with the ADP General Ledger Interface (preferred).
  • Experience supporting U.S.-based companies (preferred).
  • Experience working within multi-location organizations (preferred).
  • Healthcare or home care industry experience is an asset.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and ADP Workforce Now (preferred).
