Description

  • Act as a full-stack developer driving platform development and architecture decisions to deliver quality applications and products.
  • Lead engineers by setting standards and best practices and conducting code reviews.
  • Architect and develop highly scalable web applications, including APIs in GraphQL and user-facing applications.
  • Advance the platform architecture to solve business problems at scale with reusable, test-driven, efficient code.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and the product team as the technical lead to define new products and features.
  • Analyze feasibility and difficulty of proposed work and provide estimates and timelines.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies for current and future products.
  • Mentor and pair program with other engineers while helping own complete features and products.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of enterprise experience as a web developer.
  • 2+ years of experience with ReactJS.
  • 2+ years of experience building server-side applications in NodeJS.
  • Strong skills in JavaScript, ES6, TypeScript, NodeJS, and Git.
  • Experience building GraphQL or REST APIs, preferably GraphQL in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, including complex schema design and performance tuning.
  • Experience using TDD and testing best practices.
  • Deep knowledge of object-oriented design principles such as DRY, SOLID, GoF, and DDD.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers and leading teams in a leadership, not management, role.
  • Github profile must be updated with accurate information.
  • Experience working in Scrum, Agile, or Kanban environments (preferred).
  • Experience with Vue or Angular, with Vue preferred (preferred).
  • Experience with Ruby (preferred).
  • Experience with mobile development tools such as Ionic, Cordova, Capacitor, React Native, or Android SDK (preferred).
  • Experience with CSS-in-JS techniques and tooling (preferred).
  • Experience with platforms such as Hasura and Postgraphile (preferred).
