Description

  • Investigate account takeovers, payment fraud, phishing, and organized fraud rings.
  • Analyze fraudulent transactions and abusive conduct to protect platform integrity.
  • Dispute chargebacks by gathering evidence to reduce losses and maximize recovery.
  • Review identity verification and background checks to confirm user authenticity.
  • Triage and resolve account safety incidents, including flagged content, harassment, and Terms of Service violations.
  • Manage appeals for deactivated accounts with impartiality and autonomy.
  • Monitor fraud trends and contribute to proactive, scalable detection efforts.
  • Serve as a fraud and identity verification subject matter expert across operational teams.
  • Summarize investigation findings and insights for leaders and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Fraud Operations, Cybercrime, or Identity Services.
  • Availability for a regular schedule including some holidays and at least one weekend day per week.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
  • Experience writing SQL queries (preferred).
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification (preferred).
  • 2+ years of customer-facing support experience (preferred).
  • 1+ year of Content Moderation experience and knowledge of payments, cybercrime, and fraud techniques (preferred).
  • Experience with two-sided marketplaces or having used Rover as an owner or sitter (preferred).
