Description

  • Lead design for omnichannel communications and marketing touchpoints, including email, web, and in-app messaging.
  • Design merchant- and shopper-facing interfaces across Route’s product suite and scale its design systems.
  • Develop and maintain brand guidelines for consistent and effective experiences.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and sales to bring concepts to life and ensure accurate implementation.
  • Ensure visual experiences are accessible, inclusive, and human-centered.
  • Create motion, illustration, investor-facing visuals, and other storytelling assets as needed.
  • Participate in design reviews, quality assurance, and experiments to improve user experiences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product and brand design experience in an agency or in-house environment.
  • Online portfolio demonstrating visual design, design systems, communications design, motion, and digital product work.
  • Advanced Figma expertise, including variables, auto layout, components, prototyping, AI Agent, and design tokens.
  • Hands-on experience designing for email, web, and in-product messaging.
  • Knowledge of responsive web design, HTML, CSS, motion design, and WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Cinema4D, Lottie, or Framer preferred.
  • Understanding of lifestyle, fashion, and sports branding trends preferred.
  • Experience with ecommerce, marketplaces, or shopping platforms such as Shopify preferred.
  • Experience with illustration, motion, and visual storytelling preferred.

  • Salary range of $158,000–$167,000 nationally, with location-based ranges up to $183,000–$194,000 in New York.
