Description

  • Own the long-term technical direction of the frontend platform across web and mobile.
  • Partner with Product and Design to evolve the design system as a foundational platform.
  • Make the design system easy to use through integrations, documentation, tooling, and developer workflows.
  • Lead platform initiatives such as framework upgrades, React Native modernization, Expo adoption, and shared library evolution.
  • Own migration of legacy components to the v2 design system, including the supporting tooling and documentation.
  • Establish patterns that help engineers ship new pages and flows quickly from the component library.
  • Improve developer experience through shared tooling, automation, templates, and workflows.
  • Identify and eliminate friction points such as missing tokens, undocumented patterns, and inconsistencies.
  • Scope and ship high-leverage platform improvements independently without a full squad.

Requirements

  • Significant experience building production software with a focus on frontend systems.
  • Strong full-stack engineering fundamentals with deep expertise in React and TypeScript.
  • Experience with React Native or mobile development.
  • Experience working closely with designers and modern design systems.
  • Comfort working in Figma and translating design decisions into scalable frontend architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, or similar.
  • Experience connecting design systems to prototyping tools, AI coding environments, or engineering pipelines.
  • Ability to operate well in an engineering organization and own a technical roadmap.
  • Familiarity with Storybook, style-dictionary, or design token pipelines is preferred.
  • Experience with animation and interaction frameworks such as Framer Motion, Rive, or Lottie is preferred.

Benefits

  • Tiered salary range of $170,000–$210,000 in Tier 1 markets, $155,000–$190,000 in Tier 2, $145,000–$180,000 in Tier 3, and $135,000–$170,000 in Tier 4.
