Description

  • Design and implement machine learning models for AI-powered remediation that can identify, diagnose, and automatically resolve system issues.
  • Own the end-to-end AI/ML pipeline, including data collection, preprocessing, training, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Integrate AI solutions with the existing observability stack, including logs, metrics, and traces.
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate on approaches such as anomaly detection, root cause analysis, and LLM-based insights.
  • Collaborate with product, backend, and DevOps teams to align AI capabilities with user needs and infrastructure constraints.
  • Contribute to foundational architecture decisions and establish best practices for AI/ML across the company as an early technical hire.
  • Build systems that are reliable, scalable, and safe to run in production environments.
  • Stay current on advances in AI/ML and observability to help inform product direction.

Requirements

  • Experience building AI products, including relevant side projects.
  • Strong software engineering skills with proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
  • Systems knowledge with familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus and OpenTelemetry.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with high ownership and limited structure.
  • Willingness to include a GitHub profile with the application.
  • Ability to work with large-scale data and systems processing around 1 petabyte of data per month.
  • Experience with observability or distributed systems is preferred.
  • Startup experience or experience operating in highly dynamic environments is preferred.
