Description

  • Build and ship Premium management features across Stripe, Apple IAP, Google IAP, credit card payment flows, and post-purchase subscription management.
  • Own projects end-to-end, including problem definition, technical design, implementation, rollout, and ongoing reliability.
  • Partner with product, data, and operations teams to create systems that are safe, scalable, and easy to use.
  • Improve reliability and observability across critical workflows by instrumenting services and debugging production issues.
  • Write design docs and RFCs, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Drive technical direction by proposing architectures, evaluating tradeoffs, and influencing the product and technical roadmap.
  • Mentor and unblock other engineers through coaching, pairing, and best-practice sharing.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience with some combination of Node.js/TypeScript, React or a similar framework, Postgres or a similar relational database, and asynchronous queuing systems like SQS.
  • GraphQL experience is a plus.
  • Experience with ACH and credit card payments is preferred.
  • Experience with payment processors such as Stripe, Apple IAP, or Google IAP is preferred.
  • Understanding of privacy and sensitive data handling, including PII and PIFI, is preferred.
  • Experience responsibly using AI tools to accelerate exploration, implementation, debugging, and iteration is preferred.
  • Ability to take ambiguous problems, align with stakeholders, and drive reliable production outcomes.
  • Ability to define success metrics, instrument measurement, and interpret experiment results using analytics knowledge.
  • Comfort working effectively in a large organization and building trust across teams.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to break complex problems into tractable pieces.
