Description

  • Secure cloud-based environments by designing and implementing native security solutions.
  • Drive Continuous RMF practices by automating control implementation and reporting.
  • Automate provisioning and configuration of IT environments.
  • Implement and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanning, encryption, and ICAM solutions.
  • Secure containerized and large-scale cloud production systems and respond to security incidents.
  • Apply advanced security concepts to protect systems, including threats, vulnerabilities, boundary defense, encryption, and risk management.
  • Establish and manage identity and access management policies with least-privilege access and cross-account role adherence.
  • Create and maintain engineering artifacts such as network diagrams, data flow diagrams, installation procedures, and operational manuals.
  • Enforce cloud-native security best practices and align with frameworks such as AWS Well-Architected Security Pillar.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Zero Trust, RMF, FedRAMP, DISA CC SRG, and DevSecOps practices.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience in cloud/platform operations or related roles focused on secure, compliant systems.
  • Experience securing CI/CD pipelines using commercially available tools such as GitLab.
  • Experience with dependency analysis across software components.
  • Familiarity with SLSA (Supply-chain Levels for Software Artifacts).
  • Strong proficiency securing AWS GovCloud and Azure GCC High environments.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes and container security, including runtime protection and automated vulnerability scanning.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms, including security monitoring and anomaly detection workflows.
  • Proven experience in incident management and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
  • Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
  • Subject matter expertise in Linux administration, hardening, patch automation, compliance enforcement, and scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and security for load balancers, DNS, SSL, firewalls, NAT, and NTP.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset for tackling complex security tasks.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Preferred certifications include CKS, RHCE, Linux+, MCSA, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, Security+, CISSP, or CCNA.
  • Preferred experience working directly with clients to understand needs and ensure satisfaction.
  • Preferred familiarity with DoD operations, including a DoD Software Factory context and Impact Level security requirements.
