Description

  • Own the software design and technology for a technical area of Labyrinth Screening.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, technology leaders, product leaders, and customers to define requirements and deliver high-quality software.
  • Guide technical decisions and provide oversight to the teams supported by the role.
  • Partner with senior technical leaders to shape Ripjar’s overall technology roadmap.
  • Design and deliver scalable software across cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Articulate software designs, trade-offs, and architectural decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Drive changes to the platform architecture, testing, processes, and culture to support significant scale growth.
  • Contribute to engineering standards, design patterns, and technology approaches across teams.
  • Ensure consistent application of architectural decisions and guidelines across Ripjar’s software products.
  • Influence engineering teams to adopt new ideas and approaches.

Requirements

  • Deep and broad experience in software design and development, with technical leadership experience.
  • Experience working with big data or large-scale data processing systems.
  • Strong knowledge of software design patterns, industry best practices, and architecture design.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying software into production environments.
  • Experience designing distributed systems that handle large data volumes and workloads.
  • Ability to understand complex scenarios, work through ambiguity, and explain complex system architectures clearly.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and engage technical teams to support growth and career development.
  • Clear written, verbal, and visual communication skills tailored to different audiences.
  • Strong working knowledge of one or more of the following technologies: JavaScript, ElasticSearch, OpenSearch, MongoDB, Apache Kafka, EKS, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with microservices architectures.
  • Highly desirable: experience scaling a SaaS platform and evolving system architecture.
