Description

  • Perform forensic examinations of mobile devices running iOS and Android operating systems.
  • Acquire and extract data from mobile devices using industry-standard hardware and software tools.
  • Attempt to bypass or overcome device security features where legally permissible and ethical.
  • Recover data from damaged, locked, or malfunctioning mobile devices.
  • Analyze mobile data including call logs, messages, contacts, media, email, app data, web history, location data, and social media activity.
  • Conduct SIM card and SD card analysis.
  • Document findings, methodologies, and chain of custody in clear forensic reports.
  • Present technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Adhere to forensic procedures, legal guidelines, and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with team members on mobile device investigations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in digital forensics investigations, with a significant portion focused on mobile device forensics.
  • Experience in law enforcement, information technology, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Equivalent experience and relevant certifications may be considered.
  • Proven expertise with mobile forensic tools such as Cellebrite UFED/Physical Analyzer, Magnet AXIOM, and similar tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills applied to digital forensic investigations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of legal and evidentiary procedures related to mobile device evidence.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCME, MCFE, CMDE, or similar preferred.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python for mobile forensic tasks preferred.
  • Experience in courtroom testimony and depositions preferred.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
