Description

  • Own the technical aspects of Asset Protection sales opportunities across hardware, software, and services.
  • Lead discovery sessions and translate retailer loss-prevention needs into appropriate RetailNext solutions.
  • Present to loss-prevention, IT, business, and executive stakeholders.
  • Build and deliver demonstrations covering behavioral analytics, POS exception reporting, ORC detection, sweep detection, and searchable video.
  • Advise on infrastructure, connectivity, APIs, POS and file-transfer integrations, camera compatibility, and zone configuration.
  • Contribute to proposals, implementation plans, scoping, quantification, and project planning.
  • Complete RFI, RFP, RFQ, security, and compliance questionnaire responses.
  • Partner with Support Engineering to troubleshoot connectivity, configuration, reporting, and integration issues.
  • Train customers and internal teams and support existing customers while identifying expansion opportunities.
  • Share customer and market feedback with product and sales teams to influence product direction and sales materials.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in pre-sales, sales engineering, or a comparable customer-facing technical role.
  • Working knowledge of IP networking fundamentals, including routing, NAT, and firewalls.
  • Strong technical background across hardware and software, with experience applying technology in real-world environments.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills for technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple opportunities, and maintain stakeholder communication.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites and prospect meetings.
  • Experience in loss prevention, asset protection, physical security, or retail technology.
  • Familiarity with video surveillance, EAS, POS systems, or retail analytics.
  • Technical degree required; data networking background preferred.
  • Experience responding to RFPs and security or compliance questionnaires, including SOC 2 and GDPR.
  • Familiarity with Aurora sensor integration, cloud video, and RetailNext products preferred.
