Description

  • Design and implement responsive, accessible front-end features using React, HTML, CSS and Browser APIs.
  • Develop client-side logic and integrations using modern JavaScript (ES6) and Node.js where needed.
  • Build and maintain components and pages for scalable web-based eCommerce applications.
  • Collaborate with backend, QA and product teams to break down stories into technical tasks and plan sprints.
  • Participate in scrum ceremonies and technical discussions.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, performance and standards adherence.
  • Manage release processes and execute controlled deployments.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and resolve post-release problems.
  • Implement and optimize CDN and caching strategies.
  • Work in a distributed cloud environment using AWS services.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong senior-level front-end development experience.
  • Proficiency with React and Next.js, plus strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and Browser APIs.
  • Excellent knowledge of JavaScript (ES6) and Node.js.
  • Experience with AWS services such as S3, ECS, EC2, Lambda, ALB, Route53 and CloudFormation.
  • Experience designing and implementing highly scalable web-based eCommerce applications.
  • Experience with CDN and caching technologies.
  • DevOps mindset with practical experience in CI/CD and production troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience in an AI-native development environment using AI-assisted development tools.
  • Familiarity with Spec-Driven Development and translating specifications into production-ready implementations.
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to work with limited day-to-day supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including clear asynchronous communication in distributed teams.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with sprint planning, technical design breakdowns and scrum ceremonies.
  • Experience participating in regular code reviews and ensuring code quality and adherence to coding standards.
  • Experience managing software releases and controlled deployments.
  • Engagement length of 12 months or more.
  • Availability for PST hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm).
  • No overtime required.
