Description

  • Analyze and monitor key portfolio metrics (FPD, PD, LGD, NPL, Surplus) to inform decisions.
  • Assess LTV and actively participate in product pricing and price optimization.
  • Develop customer segmentation strategies by risk level, product, and acquisition channel.
  • Evaluate the impact of internal initiatives on financial results and recommend adjustments.
  • Optimize portfolio structure to balance high-yield and low-risk loans.
  • Monitor risk concentration across regions, products, and borrower segments and report exposures.
  • Adjust credit policy using insights from default, early repayment, and roll-rate data.
  • Develop and improve loan origination processes to reduce risk and increase efficiency.
  • Formulate requirements for scoring models, collaborate on PD model calibration, and analyze scoring-card performance with improvement proposals.
  • Work with the Data Science team on cash flow forecasting models and related analytics.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in analytics or portfolio analytics.
  • Higher education, preferably in a technical or economics-related field.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk metrics including PD, NPL, FPD, SPD, Roll Rate, and Cost of Risk (CoR).
  • Knowledge and practical application of probability theory and mathematical statistics.
  • Advanced Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables).
  • Proficiency in SQL including window functions and subqueries.
  • Experience with Python at a basic level (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to MFIs/Banks.
  • Nice to have: experience with Big Data and BI systems and basic understanding of ML model interpretation.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of financial models and statements (NPV, DCF, P&L), experience with A/B testing, and familiarity with MFI/Banking products (microloans, credit cards, credit lines).
