Description

  • Design and implement data models that transform raw data into useful metrics and comprehensive data products.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, align methodologies, and promote best practices in data consumption.
  • Manage and process large-scale datasets, including petabyte-level data, using efficient and performant techniques.
  • Improve codebase quality and operational processes by delivering repeatable and well-documented solutions.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to technical and non-technical stakeholders on metric definitions and business impact.
  • Build high-quality metrics from raw platform events and business data to enable deeper insights into customers and internal operations.
  • Support data-driven decision-making by making analytics accessible, performant, and reliable across the organization.
  • Work within a remote, multicultural team environment and collaborate with colleagues across regions.

Requirements

  • Experience building and maintaining data models in a production environment using SQL and dbt.
  • Comfort with Python for data-related development tasks.
  • Familiarity with cloud data warehousing services such as GCP or AWS, including BigQuery, Redshift, or Athena.
  • Understanding of ETL and ELT methodologies and when to apply them for different data scales and business needs.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Metabase or Hex.
  • Familiarity with ingestion tools like Fivetran and reverse ETL workflows using Hightouch.
  • Prior experience using Git for version control and collaboration.
  • Ability to evaluate technical tradeoffs and choose effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • Experience with FinOps principles or FOCUS data models is a plus.
  • Broader experience with cloud infrastructure and service offerings is a plus.
  • Legal authorization to work in France, Germany, Spain, or the United Kingdom is required, and visa sponsorship is not available.
