Description

  • Partner with customers to understand operational challenges, constraints, and success criteria through structured technical discovery.
  • Translate open-ended customer problems into clear technical designs, implementation plans, and rollout strategies.
  • Build AI-enabled solutions that integrate with customer systems and Remote’s platform, including data pipelines, workflow automations, and agentic services.
  • Own deployments in production, including reliability, performance, observability, incident response, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop evaluation and measurement systems for AI behavior, including success metrics, test harnesses, golden datasets, regression suites, and guardrails.
  • Work with real data to validate outputs, quantify impact, and iterate based on evidence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Engineering to ship high-quality solutions and upstream reusable components.
  • Turn one-off implementations into repeatable playbooks, reference architectures, templates, and internal tooling.
  • Bring field learnings, customer needs, and edge cases back into product strategy and roadmap planning.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience shipping production software in backend and/or full-stack roles.
  • Experience owning software in production, including an on-call mindset, debugging, and instrumentation.
  • Strong integration and systems thinking with APIs, event-driven systems, webhooks, authentication, data modeling, idempotency, and failure modes.
  • Applied AI/LLM experience beyond prototypes, including prompt and tool design, RAG and retrieval patterns, evaluation, latency/cost trade-offs, and reliability practices.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and move from problem statement to shipped solution with minimal hand-holding.
  • Clear, structured written communication and the ability to explain trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with enterprise environments, including security reviews, compliance constraints, procurement, and change management, preferred.
  • Experience building with agent frameworks or workflow orchestration systems, preferred.
  • Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, identity/access management, or adjacent enterprise domains, preferred.
  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS, RBAC, and data privacy by design, preferred.
  • Ability to overlap with customer working hours as needed.
  • Willingness to travel around 10% for customer engagements.
