Description

  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with country-specific regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Own end-to-end payroll execution for assigned jurisdictions, including payroll input validation, calculations, and post-payroll processes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Polish payroll requirements and monitor legislative, tax, and regulatory changes affecting payroll operations.
  • Support the rollout and operational implementation of payroll services in new or expanding jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate payroll matters with internal stakeholders and external payroll partners.
  • Identify, resolve, and escalate payroll discrepancies, operational risks, and compliance issues as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by streamlining payroll workflows and improving operational transparency.
  • Develop and maintain payroll documentation and operational knowledge to support scalable, governed processes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on system enhancements, statutory updates, and operational improvements impacting payroll.
  • Support testing of payroll system developments, enhancements, and process improvements to ensure operational readiness.
  • Contribute to the adoption of automation and AI-enabled tools that improve payroll efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

Requirements

  • Mid-senior level experience in Polish payroll operations, including hands-on end-to-end payroll processing in Poland.
  • Experience managing payroll in multi-country environments or global organizations.
  • Strong understanding of payroll controls, reconciliations, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders across payroll operations.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to solve complex payroll issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Comfortable working asynchronously and in globally distributed teams.
  • Ownership mindset with the ability to raise risks early and work proactively.
  • Comfortable in scrappy, fast-moving startup environments.
  • Proficiency with payroll tools and data analysis using in-house and external platforms.
  • Experience working in remote or globally distributed teams is an advantage.
  • Additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency.
  • Prior employment verification check is required during the process.
