Description

Manage a small product team of 3-5 engineers across backend and frontend.
Spend about 30% of the time on management work while actively contributing to product development.
Participate in hiring for the team and support peers with hiring when needed.
Own onboarding for new engineers joining the team.
Manage team dynamics, act as the team spokesperson, and help bring out the best in each person.
Give continuous, constructive feedback and coach direct reports.
Support each direct report’s growth and career development.
Redesign how engineering work ships using autonomous agents as the default execution layer.
Propose and operationalize end-to-end agentic workflows from specification through verification.
Build reusable agentic workflows and primitives and use verification loops to ensure quality, security, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

Managed an engineering team of at least 2 people.
Extensive experience with frontend technologies such as React, JavaScript, ES6, and Jest, or backend technologies such as Elixir and Phoenix.
Strong engineering fundamentals with a track record of shipping secure, reliable, and scalable production systems.
Practical experience designing or adopting agentic or automation workflows, or comparable systems, and improving them iteratively.
Ability to think in systems, including defining specs clearly, breaking down plans, instrumenting verification, and closing the quality loop.
Solid communication skills.
Solid knowledge of engineering and development principles and best practices.
Proven organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to inspire others and instill confidence.

Experience with automation and AI capabilities is expected as part of Remote’s role requirements.

Annual salary range of $75,450 to $169,700 USD.
