Description

  • Own the full lifecycle of global People policies, including drafting, review, implementation, updating, and maintenance.
  • Lead the implementation and cross-functional enhancement of policies with Legal and the Director of People Business Partners.
  • Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures and consultation guides for the People team and managers.
  • Serve as the operational owner for employee representative body consultation processes related to policy changes and collective agreements.
  • Own the operational execution of performance structures and act as the initial review layer for escalated performance cases.
  • Lead complex or high-risk employee relations cases and formal investigations from intake through resolution.
  • Act as the escalation point for unresolved issues from People Operations and provide guidance to People Partners on complex ER matters.
  • Analyze ER, performance, and compliance data to identify risks, trends, and patterns and recommend mitigation actions.
  • Collaborate with People Operations, Legal, IT, Security, Finance, and Payroll on compliant global processes.
  • Develop and deliver training on policy application, performance management, and compliance best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a People function with a primary focus on Employee Relations and Compliance.
  • Track record of managing and resolving complex employee relations cases across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ability to analyze systemic ER and compliance data and turn findings into strategic recommendations.
  • Experience advising managers on best practices to mitigate legal risk and support employee engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, own, and execute the full lifecycle of global People policies in partnership with Legal and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience developing and implementing SOPs and consultation guides for consistent global policy application.
  • Experience serving as the initial consultative and oversight layer for performance structures, including probation checks and low-performance flags.
  • Proven ability to manage significant cross-functional projects such as policy implementation or system changes.
  • Experience working with cross-functional partners including Legal, IT, Security, Finance, and Payroll is preferred.
