Description

  • Ensure Remote’s activities remain compliant with evolving sanctions, AML, and CFT regulations.
  • Identify compliance and sanctions risks across the group and advise on strategies, systems, policies, and controls to mitigate them.
  • Serve as the second-line escalation point for onboarding and transaction monitoring analyst teams.
  • Support sanctions and AML/CFT risk assessments for the wider Remote group.
  • Draft, maintain, and improve policies and procedures covering customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, screening, risk assessments, transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting, law enforcement engagement, fraud prevention, anti-bribery and corruption, and sanctions compliance.
  • Provide training and knowledge sharing on compliance policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and execute AML/CTF audits and manage day-to-day interactions with third-party advisors.
  • Maintain oversight of the control environment to ensure ongoing regulatory and policy compliance.
  • Track regulatory changes and update reporting processes accordingly.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in compliance roles, ideally in fintech or financial services, with demonstrable Financial Crime and Sanctions Compliance experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AML, CFT, and sanctions regulations.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements across jurisdictions such as the UK, EU, USA, and Canada is a plus.
  • Previous experience in second-line compliance roles is required; first-line compliance operations experience is a plus.
  • Professional AML or compliance certifications.
  • Strong automation and AI capabilities.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Remote work experience is not required but is considered a plus.
  • Ability to start as soon as possible is preferred.
