Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using TypeScript, Node.js, and Express.
  • Build robust, scalable, and secure database solutions with MySQL and Sequelize ORM.
  • Collaborate with product, frontend, DevOps, QA, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with DevOps and support teams.
  • Ensure code quality through automated testing, peer reviews, and CI/CD best practices.
  • Contribute to technical documentation for APIs, services, and data models.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and propose system improvements.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and Express.
  • Solid understanding of REST API design principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency with MySQL and ORM frameworks, preferably Sequelize.
  • Experience with asynchronous programming, error handling, and performance optimization in Node.js.
  • Familiarity with containerized deployments such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Nomad.
  • Experience with Git-based workflows such as GitHub or GitLab.
  • Familiarity with PHP/Laravel for working with a legacy platform is a plus.
  • Understanding of security best practices for backend services is preferred.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Cypress is a plus.
  • Exposure to distributed or microservices-based architectures is preferred.
