Description

  • Develop TypeScript services for subscription management, billing workflows, and merchant-facing APIs.
  • Build and maintain React front-end features that integrate with backend APIs and the Shopify ecosystem.
  • Deliver features end to end, from technical approach through implementation and production monitoring.
  • Work on high-volume subscription and billing systems with a focus on quality and reliability.
  • Support the Customer Success team by participating in the production escalation schedule and resolving live issues.
  • Take part in architectural discussions and technical decision making across the engineering team.
  • Contribute improvements to engineering processes, guidelines, and documentation in a fully remote environment.
  • Use AI coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex to deliver software efficiently and reliably.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and other stakeholders to ship solutions to customer problems.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of significant JavaScript experience across multiple companies and frameworks.
  • Strong full-stack experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Experience owning features from idea through delivery.
  • Extensive experience designing REST APIs, especially for third-party platform integrations.
  • Proven understanding of TypeScript and test-driven development.
  • Good SQL and relational database knowledge, including query performance, indexing, and schema design in PostgreSQL, MySQL, or another RDBMS.
  • Clear proficiency with React, including components, state management, and API integration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Customer-focused mindset with an understanding of user needs and experience.
  • Preferred: Experience with Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Preferred: Experience shipping multiple features as part of a product delivery team.
