Description

  • Contribute to the technical leadership of a growing factory automation team.
  • Develop automation solutions spanning quick-turn development setups and large permanent infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and design engineers to create solutions for diverse manufacturing applications and processes.
  • Own hardware implementation and work closely with technicians, operators, and end users.
  • Write, debug, and activate control software for automation systems.
  • Design and deliver robotic-based welding, fabrication, and inspection equipment.
  • Develop large-scale multi-axis tooling systems.
  • Architect factory automation solutions that improve speed, quality, reliability, and efficiency in manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience programming Fanuc, Kuka, or similar robotics control systems.
  • Experience with motion planning, task allocation, and synchronization algorithms for multi-robot systems.
  • Experience writing IEC 61131 code and developing, activating, and troubleshooting PLCs.
  • Experience with PLC platforms such as Beckhoff, Siemens, or AB Rockwell.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement industrial safety systems, including risk assessments, job hazard analysis, and safety PLC programming.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate technical risks in complex systems.
  • Experience producing electrical and pneumatics schematics and work instructions.
  • Proficiency with communications protocols such as EtherCAT, OPCUA, MQTT, ProfiNET, Ethernet IP, or CANbus is preferred.
  • Knowledge of robotic weld systems, including programming weld paths, optimizing parameters, weld quality, and seam tracking, is preferred.
  • Experience with Zuken E3 is preferred.
  • Proficiency with offline robotic programming software such as Fanuc RoboGuide, WorkVisual, or RoboDK is preferred.
