Description

  • Play a key role across the software development life cycle, from concept and trade studies through design, implementation, and iteration.
  • Develop applications that plan and schedule purchasing and manufacturing operations.
  • Build tools for accessing and analyzing engine and component test data.
  • Create software used by engineers and operators across the company.
  • Follow agile development practices and deliver software through continuous integration and deployment.
  • Work directly with users and stakeholder teams to define system requirements and implement solutions.
  • Solve complex problems with simple, simple-to-use software solutions.
  • Collaborate across design, materials, manufacturing, test, and launch teams on enterprise-wide applications and automation.
  • Help build the digital backbone for an automated rocket factory and integrated launch platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related Engineering field, such as Computer, Software, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience building, shipping, and iterating on multiple apps and services.
  • Experience designing solutions in collaboration with non-software stakeholders.
  • Expertise in front-end frameworks, especially React, and related tools.
  • Proficiency in your preferred languages and tools, with willingness to learn new ones.
  • Passion for mentoring and growing other engineers.
  • Experience designing and scaling service architectures that support high-performance front-end operations (preferred).
  • Experience with systems-level programming, including synchronization primitives and memory management (preferred).
  • Experience developing low-latency, safety-critical front ends (preferred).
  • Experience developing, debugging, and shipping software on large codebases spanning multiple platforms and tools (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with Python, React, TypeScript, or Go is relevant to the role.
  • Familiarity with Spark, Iceberg, DuckDB, Redshift, DBT, Postgres, or Mongo is relevant to the role.
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Helm is relevant to the role.
