Description

  • Play a key role in the software development lifecycle from initial concept through trade studies, design, implementation, and iteration.
  • Develop applications that plan and schedule purchasing and manufacturing operations.
  • Build tools that access and analyze engine and component test data for engineers and operators.
  • Follow agile development practices and deliver software through continuous integration and deployment.
  • Work directly with users and stakeholder teams to define requirements, implement solutions, and iterate on them.
  • Solve complex problems with simple, practical software solutions.
  • Collaborate across design, materials, manufacturing, test, and launch teams on enterprise applications and automation.
  • Contribute to industrial automation, data analytics infrastructure, and AI-enabled tooling for the factory platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related engineering field such as Computer, Software, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience building, shipping, and iterating on multiple apps and services.
  • Experience designing in collaboration with non-software stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in the languages and tools you prefer, with willingness to learn new ones.
  • Expertise in front-end frameworks, especially React, and related tools.
  • Passion for mentoring and growing other engineers.
  • Experience designing and scaling service architectures that support high-performance front-end operations (preferred).
  • Experience with systems-level programming such as synchronization primitives and memory management (preferred).
  • Experience developing low-latency, safety-critical front-ends (preferred).
  • Experience developing, debugging, and shipping software on large codebases across multiple platforms and tools (preferred).
  • Experience with Python, React, TypeScript, and Go (listed technologies).
  • Experience with Spark, Iceberg, DuckDB, Redshift, DBT, Postgres, and Mongo (listed technologies).
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm, including cloud and on-prem environments (listed technologies).
