Description

  • Lead legal strategy and execution for infrastructure projects that support the company’s business expansion.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including purchase and sale agreements, leases, construction agreements, easements, maintenance agreements, and related instruments.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on land use, title, entitlements, permitting, and zoning matters.
  • Partner with engineering, test and launch operations, manufacturing, and finance teams on site acquisitions, construction, and facility buildouts.
  • Support the acquisition and leasing of land for new infrastructure and development projects.
  • Support the building and renovation of factories, commercial buildings, launch and test sites, and transportation infrastructure.
  • Support procurement of equipment, goods, and services needed to operate facilities across sites.
  • Implement scalable practices for managing infrastructure project risk, contract compliance, and long-term infrastructure planning.
  • Negotiate additional commercial contracts, including supply chain and IT procurement agreements, as needed.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
  • 7+ years of post-JD experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience at a top law firm.
  • Excellent contract negotiation, drafting, and project management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Strong ability to coordinate and align disparate stakeholder groups.
  • Preferred experience driving large-scale real estate, infrastructure, or construction projects from start to finish.
  • Preferred in-house experience working closely with business and ownership teams at a rapidly scaling, operationally complex company.
  • Preferred ability to translate legal complexity into practical guidance for technical and operational teams.
  • Preferred business-oriented legal judgment with strong contextual risk assessment.
