Description

  • Design and implement dimensional and normalized data models optimized for analytical workloads in lakehouse environments.
  • Build, manage, and govern modern data lakehouse solutions on AWS using services such as Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift Spectrum, and Lake Formation.
  • Develop, monitor, and optimize batch and near-real-time ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon Kinesis, and AWS Step Functions.
  • Ingest and integrate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from APIs, databases, streaming sources, and third-party systems into the lakehouse.
  • Define and manage data infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation/CDK/Terraform) and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data workloads.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery for data pipelines using Amazon CloudWatch and EventBridge to ensure fault tolerance and high throughput.
  • Optimize query performance and cost using Redshift, Athena, and S3 partitioning/compression strategies.
  • Ensure data quality, lineage, catalog integration, documentation, and automated testing; and support dataset preparation for model training, analysis, and visualizations.
  • Collaborate with analytics engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to align data solutions with organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS data services including S3, AWS Glue, Lake Formation, Amazon Redshift, Athena, and IAM for fine-grained access control.
  • 4+ years of experience in data modeling for data warehouses and lakehouses.
  • 4+ years of experience building and orchestrating ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and Step Functions.
  • Proficiency with SQL and Python for data transformation, analysis, and scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform) and CI/CD for data workloads.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, compliance, and centralized metadata/catalog management.
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery for data pipelines (e.g., CloudWatch, EventBridge).
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI) and project management software (Jira, Confluence).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience working in a remote environment.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. (REE does not provide visa sponsorship); employment contingent on reference checks, background screening, and REE’s E-Verify participation.
