Description

  • Contribute to the team’s long-term technical strategy.
  • Refine and maintain messaging infrastructure for asynchronous service communication at massive scale.
  • Own managed and self-hosted infrastructure for produce and consume requests.
  • Build tooling and automation to operate messaging infrastructure efficiently.
  • Partner with ML, AI, Search, engineering, data science, and product stakeholders on technical solutions.
  • Help ensure high availability and reliability across the messaging platform.
  • Implement features, optimizations, and bug fixes for distributed messaging systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building internet-scale software, preferably with a focus on machine learning storage infrastructure.
  • Experience developing software in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Golang, Python, C++, or Java.
  • Experience working with Kafka and Kubernetes; Strimzi experience is a strong plus.
  • Hands-on experience implementing features, optimizations, and bug fixes to distributed messaging systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating across engineering, data science, machine learning, and product.
  • Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field.
