Description

  • Take end-to-end ownership of major product features from design through testing, release, and iteration.
  • Research, propose, and implement AI-driven product enhancements such as predictive insights, LLM integrations, and automated messaging.
  • Architect, build, and deploy production-ready backend services and frontend experiences.
  • Integrate Claude Code into development workflows to accelerate testing, refactoring, and feature delivery.
  • Own the lifecycle of public Shopify apps, including app architecture, OAuth, webhooks, App Bridge, Polaris, and Shopify API work.
  • Build and optimize high-throughput integrations with retailers, carriers, 3PL systems, and third-party tools.
  • Develop and maintain AWS serverless workflows to process order and tracking events at enterprise scale.
  • Collaborate across a globally distributed engineering team to deliver features quickly and cleanly.
  • Identify bottlenecks and suggest technical improvements to strengthen the platform and product experience.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Extensive hands-on experience building and shipping software with Shopify GraphQL APIs in a live commercial environment.
  • Experience building and deploying public apps on the Shopify App Store, including the submission and review process.
  • Deep proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.
  • Production experience with React and Svelte, plus UI frameworks such as Shopify Polaris.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce logistics data flows between ERPs, WMS platforms, and storefronts.
  • Direct experience integrating with Mintsoft, PeopleVox, or an equivalent WMS, including orders, inventory, and despatching workflows.
  • Familiarity with cross-border shipping operations, including commercial invoices, customs documentation, and DDU vs. DDP implications.
  • Availability to work UK hours, typically 09:00 to 17:30 GMT/BST.
  • Preferred experience with high-volume international e-commerce brands.
  • Preferred exposure to third-party logistics operations, including inbound freight, pick-and-pack fulfilment, and returns management.
