Description

  • Define the platform architecture across front-end, back-end, and AI services.
  • Develop Python backend services and support full-stack software delivery.
  • Design and work with time-series databases, including PostgreSQL.
  • Mentor and guide junior software engineers.
  • Establish, uphold, and improve code quality standards and engineering best practices.
  • Translate product requirements and internal expert input into platform architectures.
  • Drive architectural discussions, build consensus among stakeholders, and present solutions to executive stakeholders.
  • Create implementation plans in collaboration with the program manager.
  • Work with data scientists, subject matter experts, and customers to clarify requirements and explain the solution platform.
  • Contribute hands-on to backend development, APIs, databases, and system integrations as needed.

Requirements

  • BS or above in Computer Science, Data Science, AI Engineering, or a technical equivalent.
  • 15+ years of software development experience, preferably in enterprise or platform-level systems.
  • Strong experience in web application architecture and solution design.
  • 5+ years of experience in Python backend development, with Flask, Django, or FastAPI preferred.
  • Strong experience in system architecture across backend, APIs, databases, and front-end coordination.
  • Experience designing and building enterprise-grade platforms or scalable distributed systems.
  • Strong cloud architecture experience, with AWS preferred.
  • Solid understanding of databases, preferably PostgreSQL or similar.
  • Strong ability to lead technical discussions and make architectural decisions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on mindset with willingness to write production code.
  • Experience mentoring or guiding engineers in a technical leadership capacity.
  • Experience with AI systems, AI architecture, or machine learning integration is advantageous.
  • Exposure to Industrial IoT, edge-to-cloud telemetry systems, hybrid infrastructure, streaming systems, DevOps/CI/CD, IoT platforms, large-scale optimization, or regulated environments such as ISO standards is advantageous.
