Description

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of product managers and emerging product leaders.
  • Build and evolve people systems such as career ladders, performance frameworks, and onboarding programs.
  • Partner closely with engineering, design, data science, policy, and executive leadership on product direction and execution.
  • Collaborate with state government stakeholders and stay close to frontline staff and affected communities.
  • Set the strategic context for the product team, including priorities, tradeoffs, and product-area strategy.
  • Translate ambiguity into clear priorities and help PMs make confident product decisions.
  • Champion and model AI-assisted workflows across discovery, scoping, and prototyping.
  • Support recruiting efforts including pipeline building, interview design, and candidate closing.
  • Help shape org design decisions as Recidiviz grows toward national scale.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in product management.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing a team.
  • Experience leading both senior individual contributors and emerging leaders.
  • Experience coaching product managers toward management readiness.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and create clarity and momentum.
  • Proven experience building people systems from scratch, including career ladders, performance frameworks, and onboarding programs.
  • Experience running recruiting at scale, including pipeline building, interview design, and closing candidates.
  • Ability and willingness to travel about one trip per quarter.
  • Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments is preferred.
  • Experience in mission-driven, nonprofit, or public sector organizations is preferred.
  • Personal or professional experience with the criminal justice system is preferred.
  • Experience in a high-growth startup is preferred.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted product development is preferred.
