Description

  • Build scalable data pipelines, ELT, and infrastructure for internal analytics, data science, and customer-facing products.
  • Create automated monitoring, auditing, and alerting processes to maintain data quality and consistency.
  • Work with business and application/solution teams to implement data strategies and develop data flows and data models.
  • Design, develop, implement, and optimize ETL processes that integrate data from disparate sources.
  • Improve the operations, monitoring, and performance of the data warehouse.
  • Communicate and influence stakeholders across analytics, engineering, business, and executive teams.
  • Redesign and optimize data processes using AI-assisted approaches to improve productivity and data quality.
  • Champion team values including ownership, empathy, humility, and a day-one mindset.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a data engineering-related role, such as Data Engineer, Data Platform Engineer, or Analytics Engineer.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and building data pipelines and models for large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
  • Experience with dimensional data warehousing, including Star Schema designs, and data lakes.
  • Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise data management platforms such as Snowflake (preferred), Redshift, Databricks, MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, RDS, AWS, or GCP.
  • Experience building pipelines and infrastructure for external, customer-facing analytics applications in addition to internal business analytics.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing methodologies such as Kimball and Inmon.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as FiveTran, dbt, and Python.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow and Cloud Composer.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Expert proficiency in SQL and strong proficiency in Python.
