Description

  • Design, implement, and manage robust, scalable, and cost-effective data architectures on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business needs.
  • Design and implement big data solutions for processing large datasets using Spark and Hadoop.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies covering data quality, security, compliance, and metadata management.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and loading.
  • Monitor and tune data systems to improve performance and availability.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to define data requirements and provide architectural guidance.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data architecture and cloud computing.

Requirements

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform data services, including BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud Dataproc, Cloud Run, and Cloud Composer.
  • Experience designing scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud architectures.
  • Expertise in data modeling techniques and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Spark and Hadoop.
  • Understanding of data governance, including data quality, security, compliance, and metadata management.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and DBT (Data Build Tool).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • GCP Professional Data Engineer or Cloud Architect certification is a plus.
  • Experience designing cloud architectures on Oracle Cloud is a plus.
