Description

  • Oversee a team of medical writers within assigned therapeutic areas and client accounts.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional growth support for team members.
  • Review and revise medical content to ensure scientific accuracy and alignment with client strategies.
  • Partner with clients on medical strategy development and on the design and analysis of communication tactics and deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary medical point of contact for clients on projects and deliverables.
  • Provide strategic and tactical guidance while maintaining strong client communication and trust.
  • Ensure deliverables meet standards for scientific accuracy, consistency, and compliance with client guidelines and industry regulations.
  • Partner with account and project leads on project scope, status, budgeting, resourcing, and cross-functional communication.
  • Support new business proposals and participate in client pitches.
  • Perform additional duties related to business development, departmental initiatives, or agency-wide work as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare communications within an agency, with a demonstrated track record of developing high-quality deliverables.
  • Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or a related discipline; PhD, MD, or PharmD preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, persuasive scientific narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines across diverse accounts while maintaining high-quality standards under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with online proofing platforms such as Workfront Proof or Ziflow, and with Veeva Vault.
  • Proficiency with AI tools and resources to support research and content development in an efficient and responsible manner.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and adapt to shifting priorities with resilience and resourcefulness.
  • Strategic, solutions-oriented, and client-focused mindset with strong leadership and teamwork skills.
