Description

  • Develop scalable, enterprise-quality software using Python and AWS cloud services.
  • Build and enhance backend architecture, including REST APIs, serverless components, and databases.
  • Create new features, update existing services and state machines, and integrate with external APIs.
  • Contribute to CI/CD workflows and improve the software delivery process.
  • Design software components that integrate with workflow engines or ESBs for asynchronous business processes.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and negotiate appropriate solutions.
  • Write automated integration tests across services and support test automation efforts.
  • Manage the full software development life cycle from implementation through troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Identify new tools, technologies, and services that can improve the custom software platform.
  • Support and troubleshoot process and system issues, determine root cause, and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience in software engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6+ years of Python development experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed systems and clusters.
  • Strong experience with SQL and Postgres.
  • Experience with integration testing and test automation.
  • Experience building cloud applications with AWS serverless technologies, including state machines, ECS Fargate, and CloudFormation.
  • Experience participating on an agile team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision and contribute as a self-directed team member.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or another technical discipline.
  • Nice to have: Docker, Java, Node.js, and UI/UX experience.
