Description

  • Hunt, identify, develop, and close new logo opportunities within Hi‑tech/ISV/SaaS verticals to deliver incremental profitable bookings.
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close and then grow share-of-wallet through upsell and renewals.
  • Create and implement account development and 12‑month business plans, forecasts, and reporting frameworks to meet revenue and growth targets (MRR, NPS).
  • Position and sell Rackspace’s full product portfolio (cloud, applications, managed services, security, AI/ML solutions) to ensure growth and retention.
  • Engage and build strategic relationships with stakeholders across target organizations, including C‑suite, to align technology solutions to business outcomes.
  • Plan and execute pursuit and win strategies, lead negotiations and tender submissions, and manage customer communications during deals.
  • Collaborate with channel partners and internal teams (including subject matter experts) to develop joint business plans and drive profitable new customer acquisition.
  • Maintain market, industry, and competitive knowledge; track KPIs and processes (e.g., via Salesforce) and ensure compliance with company security policies.

Requirements

  • 12–14+ years of relevant sales experience required (enterprise sales/new account acquisition focus).
  • Proven track record of hunting and closing new logos, particularly in Hi‑tech/ISV/SaaS verticals.
  • Experience selling hybrid cloud solutions (cloud migration, workload orchestration, datacenter transformation, managed support, reselling infrastructure).
  • Experience selling cybersecurity solutions (cyber resiliency, zero trust, BCP/DR) and familiarity with AI solutions (AI/ML, automation, GenAI/agentic AI).
  • Expert-level knowledge of professional sales processes, sales methodologies, and product/market positioning; demonstrated negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (manager may accept equivalent relevant experience); high school diploma/regional equivalent minimally required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically/internationally greater than 50%.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and KPI tracking (Salesforce) and ability to work cross-functionally with channels and partners.

  • Compensation plan with uncapped commission on new bookings and special incentive plans for renewals and upsells.
  • Base pay range $160,400–$329,010/year (varies by U.S. market) plus potential annual bonuses/incentives, equity awards, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
