Description

  • Automate deployments using custom templates and modules for customer environments on AWS.
  • Architect AWS environments following best practices and define deployment methodologies.
  • Create automation tools and processes to improve day-to-day cloud operations and efficiency.
  • Design, build, implement, migrate, analyze, and troubleshoot highly available systems for primary and DR sites.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines (Terraform/IaC and related practices).
  • Educate and advise customers on AWS and Rackspace architecture, best practices, and operational guidance.
  • Lead workload and workforce management and optimization tasks for customer engagements.
  • Support Rackspace teams (Rackers) across the Cloud function and assist with operational issues and escalations.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in cloud infrastructure, professional services, or DevOps roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
  • Associate-level AWS certification required or professional-level AWS certification.
  • Near-expert knowledge of AWS products and services across compute, storage, security, and networking.
  • Highly skilled in Terraform/Infrastructure as Code, including CI/CD practices.
  • Proficient in at least one scripting/programming language such as Python, Linux shell scripting.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes.
  • Experience with configuration management systems such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.
  • Proficient with git and git workflows and experience supporting/troubleshooting Windows or Linux operating systems.
  • Experience designing, building, migrating, and troubleshooting highly available systems and familiarity with web servers, databases, caching, and hosting environment protocols.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to document clearly, handle multiple tasks under pressure, and communicate technical issues to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Must reside within the country specified in the posting location (India for this role).
