Description

Design, build, and maintain a robust, self-service, scalable, and secure data platform and end-to-end data pipelines.
Build and maintain a high-performance data platform that integrates with product solutions and supports analytical innovation.
Create and refine data pipelines, including business logic, aggregation, transformation, and data quality checks.
Develop data modeling and transformation workflows to create clear and accessible data abstractions.
Own the full code development lifecycle, including deployment monitoring, documentation, performance, security, metrics, alarms, and SLO compliance.
Investigate data inconsistencies and trace the sources of differences during troubleshooting.
Enable teams across the company to access and use data more effectively through self-service tools and well-modeled datasets.
Align with stakeholders to understand business needs and propose scalable, incremental solutions.
Conduct proofs of concept and benchmarks to evaluate tools and decide between buy versus build approaches.
Contribute to the strategic vision for solving cross-team and cross-service data problems and advocate for a data-driven culture.

Requirements

7 or more years of experience in Data Engineering roles.
Strong experience with Big Data technologies and concepts, including Spark, Hadoop, Hive, and MapReduce.
Experience with Airflow, Spark, AWS, and Databricks.
Proficiency in Python or another major programming language, with a focus on clean and maintainable code.
Strong knowledge of SQL query performance optimization.
Experience building multidimensional data models such as Star or Snowflake schemas.
Understanding of data lifecycle concepts such as lineage, governance, privacy, retention, and anonymization.
Knowledge of infrastructure and platform tools such as Kubernetes, ECS, CI/CD, Terraform, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Advanced English proficiency, since code, documentation, tools, and materials are often in English.
Excellent communication skills and experience translating business needs into scalable data solutions, with tech/project lead experience preferred.
Experience building large-scale data platforms with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Trino, Hive, Atlas, and Ranger is a plus.
Experience building semantic layers is a plus.
