Description

  • Own and maintain backend systems powering production AI-enabled apps.
  • Build and maintain backend services using TypeScript and Convex.
  • Implement services and tools in Go and Python as needed.
  • Design clean APIs and data models that power product features.
  • Deploy, run, and ensure uptime and reliability for services on Linux.
  • Configure and manage reverse proxies, networking, and high-availability setups.
  • Collaborate closely with frontend and iOS engineers to ship features to users.
  • Support large iOS apps and integrate Core ML features in Swift.
  • Use AI tools (LLMs) to accelerate development while maintaining quality.

Requirements

  • Strong backend experience with TypeScript.
  • Convex experience or ability to ramp up quickly.
  • Comfortable developing with Go and Python.
  • Experience with production infrastructure: Linux, reverse proxies, and networking.
  • Ability to support iOS build workflows and integrate Core ML into Swift apps.
  • Startup mindset with ownership, speed, and teamwork.
  • Nice to have: experience with real-time/reactive systems.
  • Nice to have: Docker, CI/CD, scaling, and security best practices.
