Description

  • Administer IBM AS400 systems on a daily basis, including associated hardware and software.
  • Maintain, install, and configure AS400 hardware, software, networked devices, journaling, and IBM iAccess software.
  • Develop and document operational procedures for utilities such as backup and restore, performance tuning, and interface configuration.
  • Test operating system and application software releases and repairs in development, test, and production environments.
  • Load application software patches and perform performance and file tuning activities.
  • Implement application security groups and access levels.
  • Support internal control and change management processes for IBM iSeries systems.
  • Lead projects to upgrade and enhance existing or new technology solutions.
  • Monitor source code and versioning management activities in line with technical management guidelines.
  • Provide technical support to employees and troubleshoot performance issues.
  • Maintain compliance with IT regulations and internal processes.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of AS400 hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of AS400 security management, communications, operating system upgrades, and PTF deployment.
  • Technical capacity.

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail.
