Description

  • Execute accurate and reliable data operations for high school student outreach and the National College Match.
  • Review, test, and audit queries, code, models, and other data work to ensure integrity and statistical validity.
  • Create, maintain, and audit documentation for QuestBridge data and data processes.
  • Develop a deep understanding of QuestBridge data and connect raw datasets to improve program efficiency and impact.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement workflows that automate and improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Support cross-functional data-related operational tasks and ad hoc requests across the organization.
  • Support other organizational projects, tasks, and goals as needed.
  • Read and evaluate student applications annually with other QuestBridge staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of full-time experience in Data Analytics.
  • Strong analytical rigor and experience using data-driven insights to solve operational problems.
  • Familiarity with SQL and Tableau for querying relational databases, validating pipelines, and building dashboards.
  • Familiarity with Python or R for automating data cleaning and analyses.
  • Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative code management.
  • Understanding of statistics for analyzing datasets and validating hypotheses.
  • Strong attention to detail and a track record of producing accurate data work.
  • Ability to organize priorities and independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to translate technical information clearly.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or another quantitative field, or relevant experience.
  • Preferred: Experience working with data in the education sector.
  • Preferred: Experience producing high-fidelity, detail-oriented work in a fast-paced environment.
