Description

  • Design and implement SystemVerilog modules for quantum control systems, including RF tone generators, pulse sequencers, ADC/DAC interfaces, and image processing logic.
  • Develop and maintain FPGA designs on Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC platforms.
  • Implement high-speed serial interfaces such as CoaXPress, Aurora, and AXI4-Stream.
  • Design clock domain crossing logic and verify CDC correctness.
  • Create testbenches and simulation models using SystemVerilog, Python, and cocotb.
  • Implement formal verification for critical timing constraints.
  • Design, validate, and troubleshoot real-time trigger, synchronization, and hardware-software integration systems.
  • Optimize resource utilization, timing closure, and data throughput for complex FPGA designs.
  • Develop error detection, recovery, monitoring, and diagnostics for reliable quantum control systems.
  • Ensure deterministic timing for quantum gate operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of FPGA development experience with Xilinx UltraScale+ devices.
  • Expert-level SystemVerilog experience with modern verification methodologies.
  • Experience with high-speed serial protocols such as Aurora, AXI4, PCIe, and Ethernet.
  • Experience designing real-time systems with microsecond timing requirements.
  • Experience implementing digital signal processing in FPGAs.
  • Experience with clock domain crossing design and verification.
  • Python programming experience for test automation and data analysis.
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics.
  • Preferred experience with RF/microwave systems, including frequency synthesis and phase-locked loops.
  • Preferred experience with high-speed ADC/DAC interfaces such as JESD204B/C or RFSoC.
  • Preferred experience with image processing algorithms such as centroid detection and pattern recognition.
  • Preferred experience with formal verification using SystemVerilog assertions.
  • Preferred experience with CoaXPress or camera interfaces.
  • Preferred familiarity with AWS/cloud development environments.
  • Preferred familiarity with High Level Synthesis and Vivado block design.
  • Experience with quantum computing, RF systems, or precision instrumentation preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration.
