Description

  • Build and maintain backend services using FastAPI, Python, and async patterns.
  • Design and improve LLM-driven pipeline steps for classification, matching, risk assessment, synthesis, and draft generation.
  • Implement structured-output validation, retries, and error handling for model calls.
  • Optimize semantic search and legal precedent retrieval using PostgreSQL and pgvector.
  • Extend data models and Alembic migrations with backward-compatible schema changes.
  • Build and enhance frontend workflows in React and TypeScript for dashboards, document browsing, extraction review, and defense generation.
  • Integrate real-time progress updates via WebSockets.
  • Maintain secure authentication and authorization using Keycloak, OIDC, and JWT.
  • Add backend and frontend tests and support CI quality gates.
  • Improve observability through tracing, structured logging, and operational dashboards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience in production systems.
  • Strong Python backend development experience with FastAPI or an equivalent async framework.
  • Solid PostgreSQL skills, including schema design and query optimization.
  • Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar.
  • Experience with semantic search or vector retrieval tools such as pgvector, Pinecone, or Weaviate.
  • 3+ years of React and TypeScript development experience.
  • Practical experience with OAuth, OIDC, and JWT authentication flows.
  • Testing discipline across unit, integration, and API testing.
  • Experience with Azure services such as OpenAI, Document Intelligence, PostgreSQL, and Container Apps is preferred.
  • Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
  • Knowledge of legal-tech, financial services, or compliance-heavy domains is preferred.
  • Familiarity with observability stacks such as OpenTelemetry, structured logging, and monitoring dashboards is preferred.
