Description

  • Anticipate technical risks and design architecture to support growing transaction, search, indexing, and billing volumes.
  • Lead end-to-end, high-impact technical programs across multiple engineering and business teams.
  • Define technical investment areas and translate platform opportunities into roadmaps.
  • Mentor and enable groups of engineers through coaching, documentation, and structured programs.
  • Connect business and customer needs to backend strategy and communicate plans to engineers and executives.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and leadership on initiatives with significant business impact.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and scaling high-volume backend systems such as transactions, search, indexing, billing, or similar.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-team technical initiatives tied to business outcomes.
  • Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments, identify risks, and propose initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to raise engineering standards through mentoring, documentation, or technical enablement.
  • Experience using AI tools for architecture, prototyping, and communication.
  • Interest in AI-native integrations and their potential impact on backend platforms.
