Description

  • Set technical direction and standards for machine learning projects.
  • Make architectural decisions for ML systems and review technical designs.
  • Identify and address technical debt and troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
  • Champion best practices in ML engineering and evaluate new technologies and tools.
  • Mentor 2-5 junior and mid-level ML engineers.
  • Conduct technical code reviews and help engineers debug complex issues.
  • Create learning opportunities, growth paths, workshops, and documentation for the team.
  • Contribute code to critical or complex components and build proof-of-concepts.
  • Develop reusable ML accelerators and frameworks.
  • Maintain technical credibility through active hands-on coding.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge across multiple machine learning domains.
  • Extensive experience building production-grade ML systems.
  • Ability to design scalable and maintainable ML architectures.
  • Strong understanding of MLOps, ML infrastructure, and operations.
  • Experience with modern LLM-based applications and RAG.
  • Proficiency across TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
  • Advanced experience with AWS and familiarity with other cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of data pipelines and data infrastructure.
  • Ability to design complex distributed systems.
  • Experience optimizing ML models and infrastructure.
  • Writes clean, maintainable code with exemplary coding standards.
  • Champions testing practices, including unit, integration, and ML-specific testing.
  • Advanced Git workflows and collaboration patterns.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD or ML pipelines.
  • Creates clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
