Description

  • Design, build, enhance, and optimize clean-core SAP S/4HANA extensions and ABAP-based services.
  • Refactor legacy custom code into modern, maintainable ABAP OO clean-core patterns.
  • Develop RAP solutions in both managed and unmanaged scenarios, including behavior definitions and service bindings.
  • Create CDS-based domain models, analytical and consumption views, and OData/UI annotations.
  • Design and tune OData V2/V4 services for scalable UI consumption and backend performance.
  • Implement SAP BTP integration patterns, including CAP-to-ABAP interoperability and side-by-side extensions.
  • Work with event-driven ABAP, including Business Events, RAP event handlers, and orchestration across systems.
  • Support performance, scalability, and security architectures across SAP landscapes.
  • Collaborate with CAP/Node.js, SAPUI5/Fiori, and Integration Suite teams across stack boundaries.
  • Provide code reviews, solution design support, and mentorship in architectural discussions.

Requirements

  • Strong ABAP fundamentals, including reports, classes, interfaces, enhancements, and exits.
  • Proficiency with Open SQL, internal tables, and modularization concepts.
  • Experience creating and consuming basic CDS views.
  • Ability to consume and expose OData services at a foundational level.
  • Solid debugging skills, including the ABAP debugger, ST22 dumps, SAT, and SQL trace.
  • Familiarity with the S/4HANA data model and key simplification topics.
  • Experience with transport management and the SAP development lifecycle.
  • Understanding of authorization concepts and security basics.
  • Ability to follow clean-core principles and SAP extension guidelines.
  • Experience with modern ABAP OO development and RAP, including preferred advanced knowledge across SAP BTP, CAP, SAPUI5/Fiori, and Integration Suite.
