Description

  • Own the end-to-end vulnerability management lifecycle from asset onboarding and scan configuration through triage, remediation coaching, verified closure, and SLA tracking.
  • Perform vulnerability and configuration assessments and deliver timely reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Design, implement, and maintain security dashboards and visualizations that show coverage, risk posture, and remediation effectiveness.
  • Produce executive summaries, technical deep dives, and recurring KPI packs on exposure trends, MTTR, risk reduction, and exception status.
  • Validate scanner and CMDB data quality, reconcile false positives and duplicates, and document scope and methodology.
  • Present findings in governance forums, QBRs, and remediation working sessions while capturing actions and owners.
  • Track vulnerability disclosures and threat intelligence, assess relevance, prioritize affected assets, and coordinate accelerated scans or mitigations.
  • Serve as an escalation point for scanning and testing issues and provide remediation guidance and compensating controls.
  • Support risk assessments, control selection, corrective action plans, audit requests, and evidence collection.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, security writeups, and client-facing documentation while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive data.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in vulnerability assessment or vulnerability management.
  • Hands-on proficiency with vulnerability tools such as Nessus and Qualys.
  • Experience with AppScan, Trustwave, Burp Suite, or Nipper is a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of application security concepts and assessment methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of core cybersecurity concepts, including threats, vulnerabilities, risk, CIA principles, and cryptography.
  • Experience with CVSS, OWASP Top 10, secure configuration benchmarks, and hardening techniques.
  • Strong understanding of internet security, networking protocols, and cloud security across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
  • Proven client-facing communication skills with the ability to work confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, meet schedules, and deliver on timelines in a distributed team environment.
  • Availability outside standard working hours for high-priority events.
  • Scripting skills in Python, Perl, or Shell/Bash for automation, data wrangling, or integration are preferred.
  • Familiarity with software development or SDLC/DevOps practices is preferred.
  • Experience building dashboards and reports in BI tools or native security platforms such as Qualys, Nessus, Power BI, or Tableau is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate across cultures and time zones, with an adaptable and detail-oriented approach.
  • Strong teamwork, stakeholder management, and analytical skills are preferred.
