Description

  • Research, compile, and evaluate information used to develop and maintain large, complex systems and processes.
  • Design large and complex systems and support processes that meet customer requirements and integrate with existing systems.
  • Construct, modify, and test large, complex system changes.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex production issues quickly to minimize business impact.
  • Provide prompt production support, including nightly support when required.
  • Create thorough documentation for programming changes, enhancements, and technical updates.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand customer needs and provide quality support and communication.
  • Proactively suggest process improvements and quality solutions.
  • Perform technical project management duties and manage individual project tasks to meet project plans.
  • Provide leadership, feedback, and support to peers and help develop the skills of others.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Extensive experience with COBOL, VSAM, Oracle, Unix, XML, Java, and Web Services development is preferred.
  • Knowledge of LIDP’s The Administrator (ADMI) and/or Titanium systems is ideal.
  • AI experience in a development environment is ideal.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.
  • Familiarity with annuity and VUL products is preferred.
  • Experience with accounting, claims, and finance processes is preferred.
  • Strong technical analysis, design, programming, testing, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, accountability, and ability to work independently.
