Description

  • Refine and evolve Azure Landing Zone and cloud foundation architectures with Networking, Security, and Enterprise Architecture partners.
  • Build and improve reusable infrastructure-as-code modules and CI/CD templates for cloud enablement.
  • Define and support SRE practices, including SLOs/SLIs, observability, self-healing, and incident response.
  • Support production troubleshooting, critical incident resolution, and a 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Optimize AKS and related cloud services for provisioning, scaling, observability, and security.
  • Standardize governance, security, and cost controls through Azure Policy and automated platform patterns.
  • Contribute to disaster recovery planning, resilience testing, chaos engineering, and post-mortems.
  • Collaborate with application and domain teams to design, implement, and refine Azure and O365 services.
  • Drive automation and release strategies across cloud and operations workflows.
  • Mentor peers through code reviews, troubleshooting, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, including 5+ years in Azure architecture and SRE.
  • Hands-on experience in production-scale, high-availability environments with root-cause analysis ownership.
  • Experience managing cloud projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Proficiency with Azure Landing Zones, AKS, VMs, Container Instances, Blob Storage, VNet, Entra ID, and Azure Policy.
  • Experience designing and managing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services such as Load Balancers, App Gateways, DNS, Front Door, Storage, Monitor, Security Center, and Log Analytics.
  • 2+ years of experience with automation and CI/CD using Bicep, ARM, Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, PowerShell, or Azure CLI.
  • Experience with SRE concepts such as SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, observability, and automation tools like Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, Logic Apps, or Functions.
  • Security and IAM experience with Defender, Sentinel, Key Vault, Entra ID, Active Directory, Azure AD DS/Connect/B2C, MFA, and encryption.
  • 2+ years of experience with O365 and Azure AD B2C; 2+ years with Kubernetes, Docker, and containers; 3+ years with Azure services such as Functions, API Management, Blobs, VMs, SQL, Event Grid, Microservices, .NET Core, or PowerApps.
  • Preferred certifications include AZ-305, AZ-500, AZ-400, CKAD, CKA, and AZ-300.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience, is strongly preferred.
  • Preferred experience with Azure Arc, AI/ML on AKS, Cosmos DB, GitOps tools such as Flux or ArgoCD, Ansible, and regulated environments such as HIPAA, GDPR, or SOX.
