Description

  • Open new claims accurately, collect and review claim files, and verify all requirements are met.
  • Adjudicate claims submitted through the web portal and other work queues.
  • Request additional information such as photos or inspections before authorizing claims.
  • Communicate claim status updates, follow-up information, and web instructions to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure claims are approved by the appropriate parties and authorized in accordance with agreement terms and state requirements.
  • Maintain desired claims handling and communication metrics and support claims quality control efforts.
  • Track performance indicators including audits, adherence, attendance, and coaching and development plans.
  • Assist the Mechanical Claims Lead and Supervisor with projects and administrative tasks.
  • Support other teams and cross-train on basic functions of other departments.
  • Contribute ideas to improve organizational productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of customer service or administrative experience.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours.
  • Strong written communication skills and effective communication with associates, management, and customers.
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and complete work timely.
  • Detail oriented, accurate, highly organized, and able to multitask while handling interruptions.
  • Ability to remain calm under stress and adapt to different personalities.
  • Receptive to coaching and development.
  • Experience using computer hardware/software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Typing speed of 40 WPM+ with strong 10-key skills.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Preferred: contact center claims or automotive service experience.
  • Preferred: experience in automotive mechanical claims, service writing, or repair facility operations.
  • Preferred: understanding of automotive systems, repair processes, and labor guides such as Mitchell or AllData.
